Acquarello Bianco, 120 g

The off-white paper, grooved on both sides, is made by the long-established Italian paper mill, Fedrigon (founded in 1888). The product is FSC certified, completely biodegradable and recyclable.

Available in stock in SRA3 sheets, with the longer side parallel to its grooves. Its surface pleasantly tones down the sheen of the ink, but the direct colors of gold and silver are clearly visible on it. It is optimal for scoring, we recommend it as an invitation, a protective cover, or for inserts of any type of book. Due to its restrained color, it does not compete with the graphics of the print, it gives a quality feeling to printed products.

How to find the best paper for your project?

Sort by product uses

It’s necessary for a paper to have properties that suit the intended usage. Use the advanced search or filter using tags to find the right paper.

Whats the difference between paper thickness and weight?

Paper weight is an official value given by the manufacturer to specify the weight of a one square meter sized sheet. During manufacturing construction emerges an even more important attribute of the paper – it’s thickness (helpful, for example, when you’d like to calculate the thickness of the spine of a book).

It’s a common misconception that the paper weight determines the thickness of a paper. The thickness is instead determined by the materials used, how compressed they are, and the technologies utilized during manufacturing. Because of this some books are quite thick and surprisingly light or the opposite, heavy despite their thinness. On the attached images, we try to demonstrate the characteristics of each paper by bending them.

Printability and finish

Prints look different on every paper, this is caused by the differences in texture, color, rigidness, transparency and ink receptivity. Following our recommendations in the table above (direct colors, foil embossing, laminating) you certainly won’t be disappointed by the end product.

In our swatchbook each material has the same print to make comparison simple.

Sheet size and print size

There are two kinds of materials differentiated by their size; roll materials which are printed on by wide format poster printers and sheet materials fed into digital presses. If the required print size is larger than an SRA3 sheet (320x450mm), we recommend filtering the materials by available print size first.

Our swatchbook

The finest products take shape when the utilized materials and technologies are given the same amount of attention as the graphic design.

Our swatchbook is a tool; it not only serves as a catalog of our papers but demonstrates how the different kind of digital printing methods look on the materials; what does the gold, silver or white prints look like as well as how design elements appear – the patches, a thin line, or a photo.
