Mounted Posters (larger than 475×317 mm)

Design  /  Avoid using fonts smaller than 5 pt or with very thin lines—their printability depends largely on the smoothness of the chosen substrate. For deep black areas, we recommend using CMYK 60/50/50/100. All images should be in CMYK color mode.

Mounting  /  Self-adhesive substrates (glossy or matte vinyl) are mounted onto 5 mm foam PVC (Ongrofoam), while paper substrates are mounted onto 5 or 10 mm foam board. Ongrofoam is solid yet flexible and slightly heavy, whereas foam board is lightweight, rigid, but more prone to damage.

Lamination  /  To protect your posters from dirt or for outdoor use, you can request matte or glossy lamination, which also provides UV protection.

Edge Finishing  /  When cut, the foam board’s core is visible from the side. For the 10 mm version, you can add white or black edge trim for a clean, decorative finish.

General Setup  /  The most reliable file format is PDF/X-4—it ensures optimal compression and proper embedding of fonts and colors. You can also send TIFF or JPG files. Files should be submitted at the final print size with a resolution of 300 dpi. For posters viewed from a distance, 200 dpi is sufficient (still at 1:1 scale). Bleed and crop marks are not required for mounted posters.
