Spiral-Bound Booklets

Design Guidelines  /  Avoid using fonts smaller than 5 pt or with very thin strokes, as print quality depends heavily on the smoothness of the chosen substrate. Gold and silver elements may not stand out well on very fine or small surfaces. For rich black areas, we recommend using CMYK values of 60/50/50/100.

File Setup  /  Keep in mind that the spiral binding requires a row of 4 mm holes punched 7 mm from the edge of the page. If margins are too narrow, the holes may cut into your text or images.

Color Consistency  /  Please note that we cannot guarantee perfect color matching for reorders, especially on creative papers. If your design relies on precise color reproduction, we recommend placing a larger initial order.

General File Settings  /  The most reliable file format is PDF/X-4, which ensures optimal compression and proper embedding of fonts and colors. All images should be in CMYK mode, with a resolution of 300 dpi at actual size. If using spot colors, all printable elements must be vector-based. For designs that reach the edge of the sheet, include a 3 mm bleed. Crop marks should also be 3 mm long and placed 3 mm from the edge.

Finishing Options  /  Laminating the cover is highly recommended for added durability, especially if the booklet will be used frequently. Gloss lamination enhances colors and is often used for promotional materials, while matte lamination softens the tones for a more elegant look.
