Menu Booklets

1-2 napon belül elkészül

This menu is made from stapled sheets, similar to a school notebook – a binding method known in printing as saddle stitching. It’s a highly efficient and reliable technique, ideal for publications with fewer pages.

A high-quality menu is just as important to the dining experience as the interior design or food presentation. And it plays a key role at a crucial moment for your restaurant’s profitability: when the order is placed. A striking image or well-highlighted special can work wonders – and we’re here to help your menu impress even before the food and drinks arrive. Our à la carte recommendation: menus, gourmet-style!

How should you define the printing method for your booklet? Simple: think about the content of each page — is it all black-and-white text, or are there color elements too? If every page is consistently black-and-white or color, choose accordingly. If it’s mixed, count how many pages contain color and how many are entirely black-and-white.

Editing guide

Design / Avoid using fonts smaller than 5 pt or with very thin lines — their printability largely depends on the smoothness of the chosen paper surface. Gold and silver elements may not show well on very thin lines or small areas. If you're using an online editor, keep in mind that while it's convenient, it may not allow you to export files suitable for professional printing.

Layout / The total number of pages — including blank ones — should be divisible by 4. Booklets thicker than approximately 5 mm may not close completely. With many pages, side margins tend to shrink toward the center of the booklet. Do not submit your pages as spreads. We can saddle-stitch up to landscape A3 format.

Quantity / It’s worth ordering a few more copies than the exact headcount — remember, menus are consumables, just like plates or glasses.

General setup / The most reliable file format is PDF/X-4 — it ensures optimal compression and proper embedding of fonts and colors. All images should be in CMYK color mode and 300 dpi resolution at actual size. If you're using extra (spot) colors, the printable areas must be vector-based. If your design reaches the edge of the print, include a 3 mm bleed. Crop marks should be 3 mm long and placed 3 mm from the edge.
