Design / The size refers to the final trimmed dimensions of the placemat — if your design includes bleed, the file should be slightly larger.Avoid using fonts smaller than 5 pt or with very thin lines — their printability depends largely on the smoothness of the chosen substrate. For creative papers with different front and back sides, please specify which side the design should be printed on. Gold and silver elements may not show well on very thin lines or small areas. For deep black areas, we recommend using CMYK 60/50/50/100.
Due to possible trimming inaccuracies, avoid using thin or unprinted borders around the edge of the placemat — even a 0.5 mm shift can make the border look noticeably uneven.
Quantity / It’s worth ordering more than you think you’ll need — remember, menus are consumables, just like plates.
Durability / Since this product will be handled by guests, lamination or foil coating is recommended to protect it from dirt and wear — especially if you want a long-lasting result.
Foil coating can vary by side — glossy, matte, or super matte — and is only 30–40 microns thick, so the print remains flexible.
Lamination differs in thickness (80–100 microns), resulting in a rigid, non-foldable finish. Because it’s pouch-based, both sides of the paper will have the same finish (glossy or matte). Glossy foil enhances colors and is typically used for promotional materials, while matte foil slightly softens colors and gives a more elegant look.
Color / Please note that we cannot guarantee perfect color consistency for reorders, especially on creative substrates. For sensitive colors, we recommend placing a larger initial order.
For deep black tones in color printing, we recommend using CMYK 60/50/50/100.
