Our paper sample collection is designed to showcase not only the types and weights of our sheet and roll substrates but also the print results achievable with our various printing technologies.

Each substrate features the same test design, making it easy to compare how the same content performs across different surfaces. You’ll clearly see which substrates work best for text or line-based designs and which are less suited for rich, tonal images. This often comes down to the surface texture of the substrate: while textured papers can be unique and striking, they may not always deliver perfect results with digital printing.

The same applies to spot colors. Clear varnish, white, gold, or silver can create stunning effects on some substrates but appear muted or barely noticeable on others—especially with varnish and white. We’ve accounted for this in our calculator settings: if a specific spot color isn’t available for a substrate, it means we don’t recommend using it on that surface.
